I've been subscribing to ancestry.com for several years and have added a lot to both the Todd and Handel family trees. The information is so readily available, it's hard to know when to stop. I've tried to limit my expansion to first cousins but it's easy to end up expanding 2nd or 3rd cousins' trees when it's so easy to complete from Find A Grave or Census enumerations.

If you want to view our complete tree now closing in on 5000 people, I would recommend visiting my Todd-Handel Ancestry tree online. Create a free account here and then send me the email address that you registered with. I look forward to inviting you to view the view tree. If you wish, I will give you collaboration status to update the current generations. All living people have their name and information privatized to other viewers.

I've made several custom Google Maps to trace the routes to California by our Todd ancestors. The first is the Todd Migration. [open in new window from iOS] It traces the Todd travels from Pennsylvania through North Carolina, Kentucky, and Missouri. The second is the Nissley Narrative [open in new window from iOS] starting with Jacob Nisley's [Kniesly, Nissly, Neasly] early Mennonite settlement in Lancaster, Pennsylvania through Illinois, Indiana, and on to California. I intend these Google Maps as a visual overview of the stops along the way. These and future Google Maps, including my Handel's and Bull's, are updated periodically so check back once in awhile for updates or new maps.
